Project Name Baobab Live Painting

Date 2014

Baobab Live Painting

I got a surprising call from a previous employer one morning, asking for help. He needed me to finish a painting that another artist had unfortunately washed their hands off of, and he needed to deliver to a client asap. My task was, to finish the rocks at the bottom of the baobab and make the sky behind the tree more believable, and any other suggestions I may have to complete the piece.

The only thing was, I would have to paint at the gallery, situated in a new mall in the heart of The Cradle of Humankind, Johannesburg, South Africa.

I jumped at the opportunity, excited to be in a gallery space, surrounded by incredible art, doing what I love the most! Painting!

This painting led my previous employer (now gallery owner), to commission me for the crocodile piece featured in my Fine Art section as well, as well as other work on the horizon.

Unfortunately though, the gallery landed up closing down after a year or so, but I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences I had there while it was around!

Maybe you are looking at getting a painting done for your home, or office space and have no idea where to start? Do you know I enjoy painting landscapes? I also work with oil paint as well as acrylic! Why not contact me today and we can work together on a new piece for your space!

Thank you for being here and thank you for your support! I appreciate it!
